Nikolaj Josiassen

Faculty PictureWith a varied and solid business background in the energy sector (wind power, utilities and oil & gas) as well as the banking, manufacturing and IT industries, Nikolaj has held both managerial, developmental and analytical roles throughout his career. Nikolaj is a coach and trainer and brings to MCE his experience, skills and knowledge in two areas: Management and Team Development, and Supply Chain and Procurement.

Professional background

Since 2021, Nikolaj has been helping companies build stronger management and procurement practices. The work involves identifying pain points and designing solutions. This most often includes training and coaching elements, but can also involve a wider portfolio of solutions, including organisational development and skills development.
Nikolaj was previously head of training and development in procurement at Ørsted A/S. Ørsted is the world’s largest developer of offshore wind energy. Here he developed a significant academy, capability building model and graduate and high potential programme for the company.
His previous experience includes strategic, management and analytical roles in utilities, oil and gas, banking, IT and public industry.

Education and qualifications

Nikolaj holds an MSc Economics from the University of Copenhagen. He is an Insights Discovery Practitioner and a Cognitive Coach

Personal

Nikolaj is a father of two children, who are the most important part of his life. He lives with his partner in Denmark, north of Copenhagen. Nikolaj loves all the good things in life. He has travelled and lived all over the world and still travels when the opportunity arises.
