His projects have varied from business establishment to project management, and have covered a wide range of high technological applications in the fields of computer graphics, digital printing, database management as well as IT and telecommunications.

Professional background

Previous to being an independent Consultant, Mike worked for a number of well-known multinational enterprises; American, European, Israeli and Japanese.
In senior management roles, he was responsible at a European level for Sales, Marketing and/or Business Development teams. Mike was always asked to perform the challenging ‘entrepreneurial’ role of developing new business sectors within an existing corporate environment. He also had experience of being an entrepreneur for a high-tech start-up.
All experience has been in helping companies evolve to enable them to be more competitive, increase sales, margin and customer retention.

Mike was appointed VP sales and marketing for Indigo Europe, the Netherlands, where for five years, in different positions, he was responsible for successfully building the digital printing press business, initially to the commercial page-for-print market and later for the industrial print market.
Prior to joining Indigo Europe, Mike joined the management team of Dainippon Screen, Brussels, a large Japanese company in the graphic arts industry. His role was, firstly, to help to reposition their product offering in order to make it more applicable to European market requirements. This involved extensive cooperation with their offices in Japan. Secondly, his role was to establish alternative sales channels that had a better fit to their future business, i.e. a shift from direct to distribution sales.
With Scitex Europe, Brussels, the pioneer in the field of electronic pre-press for the printing industry, Mike developed in his role as VP Sales Europe, the southern European business. As Managing Director with Graphic Science, Brussels, he successfully negotiated an MBO from Scitex Corporation (1988-1991).
Prior to Scitex Europe, Mike held sales and sales management roles with respectively, Donaldson Filters Inc., Belgium, where he was in charge of heading the OEM sales in Europe to the farm machinery industry, and with Electronic Associates Inc., Belgium, where he was responsible for selling systems via a network of distributors to clients in southern Europe and Africa.
