Building the essential business skills in the financial and accounting area are the objective of this module. You will discover the financial implications of decision-making, understand, interpret and act on financial information. We take a practical look at the basics of financial management such as cash budgeting and financial planning, investment and development project appraisal, risk and returns, management of working capital and key financial ratios. What time does the programme start and finish?
MCE programmes start at 9:00 and finish at 17:00. Lunch is a 1-hour break and there are two coffee breaks too. On the last day, the programme finishes at 16:30 as we know a lot of people have to catch planes and trains.

What should I wear (dress code) when participating in an MCE Programme?
Most participants wear Business Casual clothes. A formal business suit is not necessary.

Are meals included? I don’t eat certain food. Can I order special meals?
Lunch is provided every day with different choices of foods to cater for different needs.

Is there a free Wi-Fi?

MCE’s Programme take place in the heart of Dubai. Dubai is the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf and is the capital of the Emirate of Dubai, one of the seven emirates that make up the country. Dubai is to host World Expo 2020. Dubai has emerged as a global city and business hub of the Middle East. It is also a major transport hub for passengers and cargo. By the 1960s, Dubai’s economy was based on revenues from trade and, to a smaller extent, oil exploration concessions, but oil was not discovered until 1966. Oil revenue first started to flow in 1969. Dubai’s oil revenue helped accelerate the early development of the city, but its reserves are limited and production levels are low: today, less than 5% of the emirate’s revenue comes from oil. The emirate’s Western-style model of business drives its economy with the main revenues now coming from tourism, aviation, real estate, and financial services. No, participants are expected to arrange their own accommodation and travel. The Programme fee covers the programme attendance, materials, lunches & refreshments.
