Susan Armstrong

Faculty PictureSusan Armstrong is a professional speaker, instructional designer and award winning trainer, specializing in sales, communications, management, and leadership.
For the past 20 years Susan, has worked with global organizations to help them improve the way they do business through their people. She has worked with a variety of companies, both in public and private sectors, designing and facilitating programs in sales, account management, the art of influence, communication skills, presentation skills, and a variety of management and leadership programs.
Susan’s clients include many pharmaceutical and bio companies, as well as CHC, finance, technology, insurance and packaged goods. Whether Susan is speaking for an audience of 15 people or a conference of 1500, she is able to captivate and motivate the audience with her unique and entertaining style.

Professional background

Susan served as director of skills development for Sales Performance Group, a consulting company located in Toronto, Canada focusing on developing sales professionals for large corporations. Susan conducted needs assessments, designed workshops and conducted training that helped improve the sales effectiveness of participants and the sales revenues of her clients.
Prior to this, Susan worked in the service industry as a sales person, key account manager, national account manager and manager/director responsible for sales of the services her various employers offered.
Susan has over 25 years of management experience, over 30 years of sales experience and has won the top sales award four times during her career in sales.

Education and qualifications

Susan earned her BA in Psychology from McMaster University in Hamilton , a Diploma in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, as well as certifications in DiSC Training (Inscape Publishing), Instructor/Facilitator (Langevin), Performance Management (Mohawk College), and Communication Skills Conestoga College). In 2007 Susan was awarded the Gold Award for Training Excellence by Canadian Society of Training & Development.

Personal

A British citizen, Susan has lived in several different countries and currently resides in the UK. She conducts her workshops in English.
