Sibel brings to MCE more than 10 years’ marketing and project management experience in the FMCG and healthcare industries. She started her career as an assistant brand manager and made her way to marketing manager position in a multinational company. She has assumed regional responsibilities in Central Eastern Europe. She has developed expertise in new product introduction, project management, customer relationship management, marketing strategy formulation and implementation in diverse company cultures. Today Sibel is a certified coach, facilitator and a doctorate student.
Professional background
Currently Sibel is an independent facilitator in the areas of marketing, project management and self-improvement. She teaches business communication and project management classes at Bilgi University. She is also a career coach.
2004 to 2007: 3M, Dental Department Country Marketing Manager and Central Eastern Europe CRM.
Sibel made and implemented consumer, trade and professional marketing plan with full profit & loss responsibility. She managed a broad base of customer accounts through CRM database. To ensure customer satisfaction, Sibel cooperated with partners such as Peppers and Rogers. She managed projects through Six Sigma as a certified Green Belt.
2000 to 2002: Bayer, Product Manager.
Sibel was a product manager for Baygon, reporting to Business Unit Manager. This position involved managing 3rd party distributor, developing and implementing marketing plans and working on new product projects to extend the Baygon line.
1997-2000: Eczacıbaşı, Assistant Brand Manager.
Leading pharmaceuticals and FMCG holding company, based in Istanbul. Sibel was Brand Manager of Heinz infant food reporting to the Marketing Manager. She took part in the feasibility studies before the launch and launched the product.
Education and qualifications
Sibel is currently a PhD. student in consumer behaviour at Istanbul Technical University and has published some articles in this field. One of her sector analysis was published in Harvard Business Review (July – August 2013 issue). She holds two master degrees: MA degree in psychology and MBA degree from the University of Memphis. She is also a certified coach.
