Professional background

Jann began her management career in British Telecom, London and she was a beneficiary of its fast-track leadership programme for young, talented women. As a board member of London Operator Services, a facilitator to BT’s Managing Director and as a member of BT’s HR Strategy team, Jann managed key change and business improvement programmes, along with leadership development and employee engagement initiatives. With a track record as an effective line manager and executive board member, and an appetite to keep relevant and up-to-date with current business thinking and best practices, Jann can tune-in very quickly to the challenges facing today’s line and senior managers. She excels in business environments requiring tact, diplomacy and discretion, and where disruption is creating issues and tensions requiring an experienced, external perspective.
Jann joined the professional Faculty at the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and also acted as an Assessor and Senior Assessor for the Excellence Awards for a number of years. In parallel, she enjoyed the confidence of key decision-makers in corporations, keen to have external, professional programme management of key cultural and organisational changes, stakeholder engagement initiatives, results and measurement systems and process reengineering projects. This has included corporate assignments in the UAE, India, Japan, China and South Africa, along with countries in Europe. She has provided strategic and operational consultancy in a wide range of industries including engineering, aviation, IT, telecommunications, utilities, as well as in several key European Agencies and a government department, reporting to its Minister and Chief Executive.
