Erik spent 30 years in multinational organizations competing in the global IT industry. Starting off after university with a Master degree in electronical engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven, he developed as an experienced business professional and commercially-oriented people manager with a strong interest in serving customers. Erik led international services teams where technologies and methodologies are applied by human talents who can make a key difference every day. Erik got fascinated soon by the human side of collaboration principles and change management, critical also in the High-Tech industries. At the end of 2015 Erik chose to work as an independent trainer/coach assisting clients with all kinds of transformations on the work floor going hand in hand with personal & team developments.

Professional background

After having spent a few years as scientific assistant at the university and at IMEC, Erik joined Digital Equipment as technical trainer initially, and then to run a business unit in Belgium-Luxemburg, designing and implementing IT data networks.

After 10 years Erik joined a fast growing company, EMC, where he was accountable for the maintenance business and after-sales support. During the next 14 years, he developed the business up to an EMEA level, balancing successfully between financial kpi’s, operational kpi’s and employee/customer satisfaction measurements.

He then decided to broaden his experience by joining a new startup company, based in California, where he built the EMEA-based support organisation from scratch and also launched an Authorized Service Partner program.

Education and qualifications

Erik holds a Master in civil engineering micro-electronics from the K.U.L in Belgium
He has also several certifications : 6-sigma Fundamentals, Internal ISO Audits, ITIL Foundation, Agile Scrum Foundation, Lumina Spark, Lumina Sales, Lumina Leader.

Personal

Erik lives in Keerbergen (close to Brussels). He has passion for discovering the landscape from the water and from the air. He holds a microlight pilot license and an ICC boating license.
